Boise Mayor Bieter to be on Air Force One with Obama when it arrives in Boise today
Boise Mayor Dave Bieter will be on Air Force One with President Barack Obama when the official presidential plane arrives in Boise today for the president’s visit to Boise State University. Bieter’s office says Bieter was scheduled to be in Washington, D.C. all week attending a meeting of the U.S. Conference of Mayors and a “Mayors Innovation Project” conference; he’ll be a guest of the president aboard Air Force One for the president’s trip to Boise. Bieter will attend the president’s speech at BSU, where Obama also is scheduled to tour an engineering lab. The mayor will return to the nation’s capitol this evening on a commercial flight for the rest of his conference, while the president is scheduled to head to Lawrence, Kansas, where he’ll speak at Kansas State University tomorrow.
