Of parties, legislative schedules, and a presidential visit…
During today’s brief Idaho House floor session, Minority Leader John Rusche, D-Lewiston, thanked the majority for accommodating the schedules of legislative Democrats as they take time off this afternoon to head to Boise State University to hear President Barack Obama’s address; it’s the first time Obama has come to Idaho as a sitting president. “We’ll try and make it up to you should there be an opportunity to reciprocate,” Rusche said.
House Speaker Scott Bedke, R-Oakley, responded amid chuckles, “We’ve got big plans in 2016.”
