‘Add the Words’ hearing about to resume, vote likely to be tomorrow
The hearing on HB 2, the “Add the Words” bill to add civil rights protections in Idaho for gays and transgender people, is about to take back up this morning. House State Affairs Committee Chairman Tom Loertscher, R-Iona, said the plan is to take testimony this morning until the House has to go on the floor at 11:30, and to return at 5 p.m. for more. If the testimony wraps up today, the committee will vote on the bill tomorrow, he said. You can watch live online here.
