Nine people arrested this morning in ‘Add the 4 Words’ protest

Nine people have been arrested in an “Add the 4 Words” protest in which they were blocking the entrances to the Legislature’s bill-drafting offices this morning. The arrests happened quietly and without incident, reported Lt. Brad Doty of the Idaho State Police. “They’re very calm and peaceful people,” he said. “We’re just getting them processed.” The nine protesters were taken to the basement welcome room of the Capitol for processing; then they’ll be taken to the Ada County Jail, Doty said, with the exception of one who is disabled, and will be cited and released.

All nine are being charged with trespassing.
