Water rule now on hold nationwide

On Friday, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals issued a nationwide stay on the controversial Environmental Protection Agency rule that redefined which waters need pollution discharge permits through the Clean Water Act; last week’s “Idaho Reports” program on Idaho Public TV reported on the controversy over the rule and Idaho’s role in a lawsuit challenging it. An earlier court ruling had put the rule on hold only for the 13 states, including Idaho, that filed the lawsuit; you can read more here at Melissa Davlin’s “Idaho Reports” blog.
