Public invited to view wild horses gathered from Soda Fire area; 30 to go up for adoption

The public is invited to view wild horses that were gathered from the Soda Fire area at the BLM Wild Horse Corrals south of Boise this Thursday and Friday afternoons, from 1-3 p.m; about 30 of them will be put up for adoption, while most will be cared for through the winter, then released back to the Owyhees once forage there has recovered from the fire.

“There has been a great deal of interest in these wild horses, and we are pleased to offer this opportunity for the public to view the horses, and hopefully prepare to adopt one next weekend,” said Clay Stott, Boise District wild horse and burro specialist.
