Bogus: Make that 7-day operations, and Pine Creek opens today

After welcome new snow, Bogus Basin has changed course and announced that this weekend’s opening will be the start of seven-day operations – and it’s opening the No. 6 Pine Creek chair on the mountain’s backside. "Our season is off to a great start, and with Mother Nature cooperating, we're excited to ramp up operations quickly", said Nate Shake, mountain operations director. “This latest storm has put down a good base for the season and allowed us to open the Pine Creek lift ahead of schedule. It is skiing great right now.” Night skiing will start next Saturday.

Meanwhile, Brundage Mountain is opening its Bluebird quad chair for top-to-bottom skiing today with limited grooming; the mountain says, “Powder skiing will be available for expert skiers and riders between North and Temptation.” Brundage says it’s had 11 inches of new snow since Friday; Bogus is reporting 10 inches in the last 48 hours and a 22 inch base. Tickets go to full price today.
