House begins debate on tax-cut bill

The House is now debating HB 380, the tax-cut bill, which would cut corporate and individual income tax rates by a tenth of a percentage point and raise the grocery tax credit by $10. House Majority Leader Mike Moyle, R-Star, the bill’s sponsor, said Idaho’s income tax rates are higher than those of most states. “This tries to make us what everybody perceives that we are,” he said.
