Busy day at Capitol, with Otter announcement, CEC panel, revenue hearing; watch live

It’s a busy day at the Idaho Capitol today. This morning, Gov. Butch Otter will address reporters at the annual AP Legislative Preview, as will legislative leaders from both parties; Otter is expected to announce his health initiative to address at least some services for the 78,000 Idahoans who make too much to qualify for Medicaid, but not enough to qualify for subsidized health coverage through the state insurance exchange.

Also today, the joint legislative Change in Employee Compensation Committee meets in Room EW 42 starting at 9 a.m.; at 2:45, it’ll take public testimony. You can see the full agenda here. And the Economic Outlook & Revenue Assessment Committee meets starting at 1 p.m. in the Lincoln Auditorium; it’ll meet all afternoon plus all day tomorrow. You can see that agenda here.

All three will be live-streamed, thanks to Idaho Public Television; you can watch live here.
