43 Micron co-workers split $50,000 Powerball win

A group of 43 Micron Technology employees has become the state’s largest group winner of a Lottery prize, with the 43 co-workers splitting a $50,000 win in last week’s record Powerball drawing. The Idaho Lottery announced the win today; it was one of four $50,000 Powerball winners in Idaho in the past week. Carmel Petrain, leader of the employee group that called itself “Integrated Systems,” said “This is a blessing and I’m grateful to share it with so many people.”

The Micron group bought its winning ticket at a Jackson’s store at Orchard Street and I-84 in Boise. That’s the same store where big Powerball jackpot winners Pam Hiatt in 1995 and Brad Duke in 2005 bought their winning tickets; the store also sold a $200,000 winning scratch ticket in December 2013.
