Crews attacking wildfire near Idaho City, campers evacuated

Here’s a news item from the Associated Press: IDAHO CITY, Idaho (AP) — Fire crews are fighting a central Idaho wildfire eight miles north of Idaho City and campers in the area have been evacuated. Officials say the fire burning in timber and grass on Tuesday is 100 acres in size and that about 50 firefighters are at the scene with more are being called in, including aircraft. Fire spokeswoman Susan Blake says the fire was reported at about 5 p.m. Monday and was 2 acres when the first crews arrived. She says a structure from a mining operation is threatened but there are no homes near the fire.
