Canadian consul general addresses Senate, touts ‘shared values’
Canadian Consul General James K. Hill addressed the Idaho Senate today, and received a warm welcome. “The Idaho-Canada relationship is a strong one and it’s one of tremendous economic benefit to both our countries,” Hill told the Senate. “Trade is just one element of a very deep relationship built on trust, built on shared values.”
He said the relationship between the United States and Canada is “one of the largest commercial relationships in the world.”
After his address, Lt. Gov. Brad Little, president of the Senate, told Hill, “We, like you, value our common commerce, our common border, but particularly our common values.”
