Here’s a news item from the Associated Press: BOISE, Idaho (AP) — A political action committee under investigation in Idaho for suspicious campaign contributions failed to report more than $9,000 in expenditures until the day before the May 17 primary election. The Integrity in Government PAC filed a last-minute independent expenditure report on Monday, detailing spending made over the past week. Idaho law requires PACs to disclose expenditures within 48 hours when election day is drawing near. PAC treasurer Marge Arnzen did not immediately return requests for comment. State election director Betsie Kimbrough says Arnzen reportedly didn't know the expenditures had been made until after the deadlines had passed. The report shows the PAC purchased campaign literature referencing Republican Reps. Abby Lee and Ron Nate, as well as House GOP candidate David Smith. The report does not say whether the purchases were made in support or opposition, which is commonly included in independent expenditures.

Here’s a link to the belated report. Oddly, Integrity in Government’s last report showed they had received just $3,150 in contributions since Jan. 1 and as of May 1, had just $2,263 cash on hand. If they received big contributions after that date – more than $1,000 – they were required to file 48-hour notices, but they haven’t.
