Legislature’s foster care study committee meets at the Capitol today

The Idaho Legislature’s Foster Care Study Committee is meeting today in the state Capitol; you can watch live here. The 10-member panel, which includes lawmakers from both houses and both parties, is meeting all day; its agenda includes data and presentations from the state Department of Health & Welfare this morning; a presentation from Sharon Harrigfeld, director of the Idaho Department of Juvenile Corrections, from 1:30 to 2; input from a social worker, Jonathan Morgan, who works with foster children, from 2-2:30; a presentation from Marian Woods, senior director of the Idaho Office of Casey Family Programs, from 2:30 to 3:30; and committee discussion from 3:30 to 4 p.m. The full agenda is online here.
