Right to Life of Idaho doesn’t back either abortion-as-murder proposal

With two similar anti-abortion proposals in the works in Idaho - one from freshman Sen. Dan Foreman that would classify abortion as first-degree murder, and a petition circulating for a ballot measure that would do the same – Idaho Public Television reporter Melissa Davlin reports that neither measure has the backing of one of the state’s most influential anti-abortion organizations, Right to Life of Idaho. Both measures seek to impose murder charges against both women and doctors for abortions. Right to Life of Idaho spokeswoman Kerry Uhlenkott told Davlin that would be “inconsistent with the historic pro-life position.” You can read Davlin’s full post here on her “Idaho Reports” blog.
