Eye On Boise

A busy morning at the Capitol; watch live…

There’s lots going on in the Capitol this morning. The House Education Committee is holding a hearing in the Lincoln Auditorium, with an agenda that includes two controversial bills, HB 566, creating a certification system for heads of charter schools that doesn’t require traditional academic credentials; and HB 390, setting up a scholarship program that opponents view as a step toward vouchers for private school education. You can watch live here.

The House State Affairs Committee is holding a hearing on “Marsy’s Law,” a crime victim rights constitutional amendment proposal; you can listen live here.

And the Joint Finance-Appropriations Committee is setting major budgets this morning, including Medicaid, welfare, and public health services; you can watch live here.
