House won’t use any public funds for aid to Hixon family
After Idaho House members said they’re considering some type of financial help for the family of the late former Rep. Brandon Hixon, R-Caldwell, who took his own life last week amid a criminal investigation into sexual abuse charges and left behind four children, lawmakers have received some emails and messages objecting to any use of public, taxpayer funds for that. House Speaker Scott Bedke, R-Oakley, said today that was never contemplated.
“We are not going to use any public funds for any aid that goes to the Hixon family,” Bedke said.
