On tonight’s “Idaho Reports” on Idaho Public Television, BSU professor emeritus Jim Weatherby discusses voter engagement in Idaho with producer Seth Ogilvie; host Melissa Davlin interviews Sen. Abby Lee about foster care in Idaho; Ogilvie interviews Reps. Judy Boyle and Patrick McDonald and Sen. Cherie Buckner-Webb about guns; and there’s a report on the House debate over legislation to restrict gun possession by domestic abusers, which narrowly failed.

On the pundits panel, I join AP correspondent Rebecca Boone, Idaho Statesman engagement editor Bill Manny, and Davlin to discuss the events of the week, from the Trump Administration’s letter to Gov. Butch Otter on health care to a heated closed meeting of an Idaho Senate committee. “Idaho Reports” airs at 8 p.m. Fridays on Idaho Public Television; after it airs, you can watch it here online any time. It also re-airs Sunday at 10 a.m. Mountain time, 9 a.m. Pacific.
