The man from Plains

Daily Tip # 350 The day is February 2nd, 1977. The newly-inaugurated president appeared on television dressed in a cardigan and asked his fellow Americans to take an easy step to save energy: Turn down the thermostat and put on a sweater. He wore cardigans a lot and they all laughed. (Okay, part of the reason was brother Billy and his designated beer…he made Palin look like Emily Dickinson.) Now, his simple daily tip is prophetic. You’ll create less C02 and for every degree lowered, you’ll save 5 percent on your heating bill.
