The newly-inaugurated president appeared on television dressed in a cardigan and asked his fellow Americans to take an easy step to save energy: Turn down the thermostat and put on a sweater. He wore cardigans a lot and they all laughed. (Okay, part of the reason was brother Billy and his designated beer…he made Palin look like Emily Dickinson.) Now, his simple daily tip is prophetic.
