Stephen Colbert put it best: "The Koch brothers don't want to be dragged into the light of day. That's why they work so hard to blot out the sun." Oil is the core to their empire and the company fights- successfully, I might add - to preserve the industry’s tax breaks and credits and to defeat attempts by Congress to regulate greenhouse gases. But it's really the lobbyists doing the dirty work and they are known on Capitol Hill for maintaining a low profile.  Check this video to see just how nasty their web of influence spreads.
