Going Mobile

Photos: Beautiful Birch Bay

We visited the northwestern corner of Washington state and discovered a real gem in Birch Bay State Park.

It's beautiful, with excellent camping that affords easy access to the expansive beach. The views -- of the Gulf Islands, Vancouver Island, and the mountains of lower British Columbia -- make you feel like you're in Canada, which is a good thing, particularly at a time when the border remains closed to non-essential travel.

We'll write more about this in Friday's column. But for now, check out these photos from our recent stay.
