Going Mobile

British Columbia, we miss you

In the age of COVID-19, we are missing our neighbors to the north.

Canada and the U.S. announced last week that the border will remain closed until at least Aug. 21, dashing any hopes for RV travel to British Columbia in the near future.

The news got us thinking about a trip we took last year on Vancouver Island and the Sunshine Coast. It was a fantastic adventure, taking in Victoria and Vancouver, with stops in between for paddleboarding, hiking, caving, mountain biking, beer tasting and salmon fishing.

We even got to snap a photo at mile 0 of Highway 101 in Lund, British Columbia, which set the table for our travels south on the highway last fall through Oregon and California.

For now, we've got the memories of past visits to British Columbia. But when the border does finally open, we'll be the first ones in line to revisit one of our favorite places.
