Huckleberries Online

Stebbijo’s Choice — 12/23/05

I tossed that calendar that arrived in the Coeur d'Alene Press the other day without looking at it. But Stebbijo did. She thought it was ugly. Then, she looked at who paid for it: Bureau of Land Management, Idaho Department of Lands in cooperation with USDA Forest Service, Idaho Commerce and Labor, Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security and Kootenai County Office of Emergency Management.

Blogs Stebbijo: "We all pretty much agreed that this calendar was a total waste of our tax money. Even in the name of education it was just a waste and UGLY! We all wondered why in God's name the Idaho Bureau of Homeland Security was donating to it and we all wanted to know how much it cost. I am scared to call to see how much was spent. I am just flat chicken. The tree mafia gang scares me. How much do you think came out of taxpayer money to publish this ugly calendar that was most likely trashed and probably used to start a home fire?"

Stebbijo asks: Would you hang it in your kitchen? And provides these two choices:

Yes, I am a camp cook.

or

Frightful - maybe in a honeybucket.

Question: Did you keep your Brand X calendar?
