AM Hucks: Vanna White Also Turns Heads

Huckleberries hears … that Vanna White, longtime letter turner for "Wheel of Fortune," was a guest at a Gozzer Ranch shindig at Eddie's Bar
and Grille/Arrow Point Thursday evening. Seems she was spotted by Coeur d'Alene Chamber of Commerce Commodores who'd piloted the chamber's pirate-boat float to the event, including (at a distance) soon-to-be CPD Blue police Chief Wayne Longo. At one point, Ms. White checked out the chamber float. At another, stylist Patricia Richardson of LaTourrette's had a photo taken with her, according to a well-placed Berry Picker, who said the private affair was an exercise in decadence. Among the extravagance was bottled water shipped in from Fiji and private-labeled beer, to quench the golden tonsils of the rich and sometimes famous in the Gozzer crowd … Now that she's received a clean bill of health, Mayor Sandi Bloem's un-Sandi-like performance in office for much of July can be explained, such as the morning she canceled an appearance on Dick Haugen's on-the-road radio show, without explanation. Seems Sandi and her family received a scare when a significant melanoma was found on her leg. She underwent surgery about 10 days ago and was out of action for four days. Her Sandiness told me Thursday that the docs said the melanoma was contained. She admitted to me that she was scared, as we all would be. But now she's "up and full running."
