KevinR: CC Trustees Still Have Final Say

Full post here

When voters said yes to a new community college in Southwest Idaho, affordable education was part of the sales pitch. Introductory-level courses for high school grads who cannot afford tuition at a four-year school. Work force training and professional-technical courses at a fraction of the price charged by the four-year colleges such as Boise State University. Keep that in mind. An interesting debate over community colleges looms — again — in the Legislature. The State Board of Education decided Wednesday to try to double the tuition cap for the state's two-year schools, including the College of Western Idaho. The current cap is $1,250/Kevin Richert/Idaho Statesman.

Question: What message would you give to your legislator re: the proposal to double the tuition cap at the state's community colleges?
