Idaho Escapee & Elaine re: Religious Proselytizers

Idaho Escapee: I don't like my peace of mind interrupted by on-fire-fanatics who think it's their God-given duty to louse up my day by witnessing to me. Religion is a very private matter for me, and I don't want someone interrupting my life to share the 'good news', for crying out loud. That's another thing that's wrong with society; too many people trying to manipulate too many people.

Elaine: They're just passionate about their cause. If no other groups are willing to be that vocal and make thier prescense known, that's their problem. Be thankful it is a group that won't kill or hurt or be too mean to you. They're christians. The best way to deal with someone trying to chase you down to talk about God is to say, "I respect you for your courage and passion for your cause, but I'm not interested." if they still persist, say, "Why did God make the platypus?" They'll gladly leave you alone.

Question: What do you do when religious people knock on your door to proselytize you?
