Scanner Traffic/AM — Cop Shoots Dog

11:59 a.m. Officer reports he shot the dog after it crossed the freeway (see 11:49 a.m. item). But didn't kill it. Officer: "He's running 3-legged now." The dog is pinned but hiding between the freeway & River City Lanes and Post Falls theater on Seltice Way.

  • 11:49 a.m. Animal control and police officers have been trying to catch a dog that's running along the freeway near Spokane Street/Post Falls for a half hour or so.
  • 11:32 a.m. A pitbull is running loose near a school playground @ Chase & Mullan.
  • 11:21 a.m. Caller reports a male in civilian clothes is riding a police motorcycle on Ramsey.
  • 11:14 a.m. DMV reports a wanted person in the office. More below.
  • 11:03 a.m. A girl hit her head on the ground after a seizure @ Coeur d'Alene High.
  • 10:59 a.m. A 98YO female may have had a stroke @ Lake City Senior Center.
  • 10:48 a.m. Female reports that a driver who was delivering a vehicle from Maryland hit one person with it and tried to run over her husband on Summit Loop/Hauser.
  • 10:39 a.m. A 51YO male is unconscious in a mobile home @ 22105 Par 3 Golf Course Road/Twin Lakes.
  • 9:59 a.m. A runaway juvenile is reported in 3800 block of Sherwood Drive/CdA.
  • 9:49 a.m. A business @ 3390 Hayden Avenue reports that three spotted dogs that look like hyenas are on the property. It's an ongoing problem.
  • 9:47 a.m. VA medical clinic on Ironwood reports a possible stroke.
  • 9:35 a.m. Two Subarus are broken down at the Huetter rest stop on I-90.
  • 9:29 a.m. Female reports that a male named Shawn is driving w/o privileges in a blue Honda Accord @ H95 & Wilbur.
  • Overnight: ISP report on the multi-vehicle crash on H95 @ Chilco mill Tuesday, caused by a head-on collision in which an 88YO male veered across the center line. Click here.
