Pipe Bomb Found In Edgar Steele’s Car

Shortly before a North Idaho lawyer was to appear in court today on charges of hiring someone to kill his wife and mother-in-law, employees at a Coeur d’Alene auto shop discovered a pipe bomb connected to the SUV identified in court papers as his wife’s. Police confirmed that a device removed from a car registered to Edgar Steele, the former Aryan Nations lawyer, was explosive and required detonation by a Spokane bomb squad. The black 2004 Mitsubishi Endeavor Limited, driven by a woman, pulled into the Fast Lane Quick Lube at West Bosanko Avenue and U.S. Highway 95 in Coeur d’Alene, at about 12:30 p.m./Spokesman-Review.
