As I watched and blogged the 6 debates Wednesday night, I felt sorry for Commissioner Rick Currie, who was all dressed up for the occasion with no one to debate. As I said yesterday, the League of Women Voters missed the mark by not scheduling debates involving write-ins Currie (vs. Jai Nelson) and Howard Griffiths (vs. Phil Hart). This enables Nelson and Hart to skate to re-election without answering questions re: things that have surfaced since the primaries. Now, we have less than three weeks to go.
