DFO: Keep Legion Park, Compromise

My response to a post by Bruce Wayne: You know what I’d like to see happen, to avoid the political blood bath ahead? I’d like to see Councilman Ron Edinger — the only person who can stop the nonsense going on in this town — to step up and say, let’s have this compromise. If you move the American Legion diamond to the southeast corner of the McEuen Field complex (where McEuen 1 is now at) and guarantee that it’ll stay there, I’ll sign on to the McEuen Field makeover. That would end the recall and bring peace to this town that desperately needs things to settle down. That would open up a huge swath of park (including the parking lots now reserved for Third Street vehicles and boat trailers — and be a venue of equal value for the American Legion baseballers. What do you think?

Question: What do you think of this idea?
