Christa Hazel speaks out re: the selection of James Purtee by Kootenai County commissioners as the new Coeur d'Alene School Board trustee: "Still surprised our elected county commissioner, Dan Green, last night stated in an open meeting that he was 'irritated at the enormous lobbying effort' and public input he received regarding the trustee appointment. He disliked the emails encouraging him to be open minded, objective, or emphasize qualifications and then proceeded to name applicants that may have fit that description. Regardless of the outcome, the public should never be poo pooed for providing opinions to elected officials. Dan Green was wrong to criticize those folks who took time to show an interest."
