Poll: Who Knows Best Re: Recalls?

  • Thursday Question: Hucks Nation firmly disagreed with the Kootenai County Board of Commissioners choice for appointment to the Coeur d'Alene School Board -- James Purtee. Purtee came in 4th of 6 in the HucksOnline poll with 19 votes out of 192 cast (9.9%). Hucks Nation preferred Christa Hazel (who was the only person named by all three commissioners in their top 3), with 70 of 192 (36.46%). Former trustee Wanda Quinn, who was unceremoniously booted from her appointed position by a District Court judge, came in 2nd with 66 of 192 votes (34.38%). Others who received votes were Duncan Koler, 21 of 192 (10.94%); Casey Morrisroe, 9 of 192 (4.69%); and Luke Sommer, 7 of 192 (3.65%).
  • Weekend Question: Who is more apt to know how city election law pertains to recall attempts -- city clerk/attorney, county clerk/prosecutor, secretary of state/attorney general?
