Post Falls Reports Sewage Spill

The City of Post Falls reported a 4,000 gallon wastewater spill at Osprey Drive and Shoreline Drive on Wednesday evening at 7 p.m. The spill occurred when a 6-inch pressurized sewer pipe failed and caused a leak. City crews immediately shut off the broken pipe and disinfected the affected areas. A backup sewer pipe is currently in use, and a street sweeper provided final cleanup of the area this morning. There was no disruption of sewer service in the neighborhood. The City notified the Idaho Department of Environmental Quality about the spill. Repair of the broken sewer pipe will be done on Tuesday, July 24. Local traffic will be routed around the work area/Post Falls news release. More here.
