Bubble: Idaho D’s Fear Own Shadows

Bubblehead: I went to the state Democratic convention, and it was an eye-opening experience for me. I tried to get some very strong planks added attacking some specific idiocies in the Idaho GOP platform (repeal the 17th, return to the gold standard, nullification) but several Democrats, especially from eastern Idaho, got up and said, basically, that we shouldn’t mention Republicans because otherwise the Republicans would be mean to them. They seemed to have no self-confidence, and I wondered why they were even involved in politics if they weren’t willing to fight for what they believed in. As it was, we did put some strong language in the preamble.

Thoughts?
