Doty Didn’t Get Gookin’s Message

Apparently, diehard Recaller Jim Doty didn't get the message from Councilman Dan Gookin (pictured) and eight-ninths of the registered voters in Coeur d'Alene: "It's over." In a lengthy rant reviving the Recall grievances, Doty writes in the Coeur d'Alene Press Online this morning: "This isn’t personal and has never been. We are not a band of disgruntled individuals with a personal agenda, but a group of concerned citizens attempting to support the constitutional rights that we believe are not being granted to use in the City of Coeur d’Alene. Remember, free government requires active citizens, which right now we don’t have." At least it gives Recallers somewhere to hang out today cyberwise while they're licking their wounds. Full Doty post here.

DFO: Yeah, yeah, I know, it's time to move on from the Recall. In fact, I ran into a Post Falls blurker last evening while Mrs. O and I were walking downtown. He was eating with his wife at Tito Macaroni's. After exchanging pleasantries, he said: "Cindy's right. Quit putting stuff up about the recall. It is time to move on. But you have to keep an eye on them.
