Alison: Young People Are Voting

Alison McArthur, executive director of the Post Falls Senior Center, tells Huckleberries that 525 people have voted so far at the senior center, a record -- and 25 to 30 are standing in line, with another 6 registering. She doubts that the center will have the voters verfied until 9:30 to 10 to turn into the Election Department. Also, out something that has caught her by surprise. More young people than ever are voting at the center today, which seems to track with a early nationwide poll that shows 18 percent of the vote is being cast by young people.

Question: Why do you think young people are energized to vote this year?
