SR photographer Kathy Plonka snapped this photo of a vehicle that was hit by a train this morning at the railroad crossing north of Chase & Poleline on Rathdrum Prairie. No further information was available.

  • 11:38 a.m. Officer at KMC ER reports former bus passenger "higher than a kite" and extra manpower may be needed. Battery suspect may be a juvenile.
  • 11:03 a.m. Police have arrested drugged man, from Montana, on Greyhound bus. He admits to taking Ecstasy, marijuana & alcohol. He's hallucinating. Police are taking him to KMC ER.
  • 11:01 a.m. Resident of 2600 block of Blueberry Circle/Hayden reports a lost animal.
  • 10:44 a.m. Greyhound bus driver has pulled bus off road @ w/b I-90/MP 17 (top of the hill outside Coeur d'Alene) reports being attacked by a drunken 20ish male who'd forced his way onto the bus. Female driver reports other males took man off bus and are holding him, after he hit her. Battery suspect tells others that he has eaten some "mushrooms."

  • 10:08 a.m. Recovery Masters is en route to tow vehicle hit by train near Chase & Poleline.
  • 10:02 p.m. Caller reports someone may be living in mobile home behind Capone's restaurant.
  • 9:50 a.m. PFPD is seeking pickup w/wood racks taken from Rawhide Ridge this morning. A male w/a passenger were seen taken vehicle after cutting battery cables to trailer.
  • 9:32 a.m. Undisclosed medical emergency report in 3400 block of W. Bristol/CdA.
  • 9:12 a.m. Undisclosed type of fraud reported in 6200 block of N4th/Dalton Gardens.
  • 8:33 a.m. Sounds like some sort of train-vehicle crash on BNSF tracks @ Chase & Poleline or Spokane & Poleline/Post Falls. Just getting bits and pieces. Sounds like someone taken to KMC, too.
