COEUR d'ALENE - Sharon Hebert said Thursday she is running for Coeur d'Alene City Council.
Hebert, a native of southern California, moved to Coeur d'Alene with her family in 1995.
She has an associate degree and certificate of architecture design from Golden West College in Huntington Beach, Calif., and said she will likely run for seat 4, held by Woody McEvers, who is seeking re-election.
It's Herbert's first attempt at running for a council seat. She declared her intention Thursday at the Kootenai County Reagan Republican meeting and said she was a Tea Party supporter who became more involved in national and local politics after 9-11.
She said she favored the idea of a public vote on the fate of developing McEuen Park.
She's worked in sales for a beauty and bath company and is a charter member of Lake City Toastmasters Club. More here. Tom Hasslinger, Cda Press
Well. Now you know a little bit more about Hebert. Do you think it likely she can oust Woody?
