Jeff: I’m Thru w/BBQ Competition

On his Facebook wall, local BBQer extraordinaire Jeff Selle posts: "I have cooked my last PNWBA competition, period. The judging is a total sham and I have the scoring from coeur d'alene and cheney that proves it. The judges didn't even catch someone who turned in beef in their pork box. he came in 28th out of 30 on his pork. Even after the cook turned himself in for the honest mistake, the judges still didn't adjust the scores. they let it ride. There were two guys that came in behind him that should have scored higher overall, but that apparently doesn't matter to PNWBA. The competitors apparently are expected to invest hundreds -- if not thousands -- of dollars a cook... walk around on asphalt for two days in 90 degree heat just to feed these incompetent judges who spend $50 for a one-time ticket to eat all the BBQ they want."
