Drinkin’ & Litterin’

On his Facebook wall, Councilman Dan Gookin comments re: this photo: "Cleaning up outside the house this morning. Someone had a good 4th: Can of Bud. (Another is in the storm drain.) Plus a Costco-sized thing of vodka. I can think of nothing else to say, but 'You're welcome, Spokane!'"

Question: Izzit if just me, or are people becoming bigger and bigger pigs when it comes to little. Daily, Walkabout cleans up bags of litter from Tubbs Hill. I regularly see trash along the Centennial Trail during my daily walks. My g-g-generation was scolded by Ladybird Johnson not to litter. But the current one seems to be oblivious to the unsightliness it causes. Anyone with an idea how to reduce litter?
