A letter was circulated viIa email Friday on behalf of Chris Fillios, candidate for Coeur d'Alene City Council seat No. 2. A Berry Picker forwarded the letter to Huckleberries. It reads in part: "My opponent, Amy Evans is a self-proclaimed progressive liberal, whose view of events in Coeur d’Alene is analogous to Mr. Rogers’ wonderland.  Never mind, the money diverted to LCDC, and the special favors showered upon downtown landowners by a complicit City Council. I join Mary Souza, mayoral candidate in attempting to instill a new era of accountability, transparency, and economic growth front and center. If you believe as I do, that President Obama, is systematically ruining our nation, than(sic) you should also realize that should my opponent, Amy Evans, prevail, she will only enhance Coeur d’Alene’s demise." Full letter here.

Question: Is it fair to try to tie an opponent in a City Council race to President Obama?
