Retiree Files For Lake City Council

Gary Herfurth, of 3411 Mocassin Road, appears to be the final candidate for the Coeur d'Alene City Council, opting to run for council Seat 6, against Kiki Miller and Noel Adam. Herfurth paid a $40 filing fee and, therefore, didn't need to provide 5 names on a petition to file. His decision means three candidates each will run for the mayor's spot and three City Council spots Nov. 5:

  • Mayor (now held by Sandi Bloem): Joe Kunka, Mary Souza and Steve Widmyer.
  • Seat 2 (now held by Mike Kennedy): Amy Evans, Jared Festner and Chris Fillios.
  • Seat 4 (now held by Woody McEvers): Amber Copeland, Sharon Hebert and McEvers.
  • Seat 6 (now held by Deanna Goodlander): Noel Adam, Gary Herfurth and Kiki Miller.

Question: Do you think Coeur d'Alene voters have good choices this fall?
