Northerner: No One Saw This Coming

Northerner (RE: Man held in Bonners Ferry bombing, family apologizes): They (parents and family) are more than frustrated. Many in the (Bonners Ferry) community are. Nobody saw this coming. He (Allen Jeffrey Avery, pictured) was a downward spiral for about a year. His parents are very nice people. They weren't so much dissing on him as they were apologizing to the community for his actions. He left their home when he turned 18 because he didn't want to follow the rules there. I let him live in my house with my family for the rest of his senior year and tried to motivate him to find a path that better suited him. Everyone is heartbroken that he did these things and at a loss as to why.

Question: Have you ever tried to help someone, only to see them crash & burn?
