The Way They Were

Don Sausser, the Eye on Sherman Avenue, posted this photo of the now gone-but-forgotten street trees (in their Christmas holiday glory) that were removed along Sherman Avenue to make way for the Centennial Trail Plaza and connection to the upgraded McEuen Field. Don posts on Facebook: "I didn't know that they would be removed on the north side too. Glad I got a picture prior to removal."

Question: Why are we so in love with trees?
