The filing is relatively inexpensive (or free, if you earn less than $53,000). It's nice to have the annual headache out of the way. I even finished in the black. Salamander Now State Amphibian 

The long journey for 14YO Ilah Hickman to win a state designation for the giant salamander came to an end today when Idaho Gov. Butch Otter signed her bill into law. Afterward, Otter joked with the teen: "You didn't think I was going to veto it? No, no, you didn't." Aren't you amazed by the persistent teen ... and happy for the amphibian community?

GOP Newsletter Offends Idaho Muslims 21 

In the Idaho Falls Post Register, Bryan Clark reports that Muslim leaders in eastern Idaho were deeply offended by a news letter circulated by the Bonneville County GOP Central Committee. The letter, written by the Central Committee exec, sez Idaho Muslims are infiltrating the state and are ready to "rise up and kill" non-Muslims.
