Businessman, Convict Share Name

Brent Mark Stevens discovered an unfortunate coincidence Wednesday -- he shares his first and last name with a Sandpoint man who pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. Brent Anthony Stevens entered the guilty plea in U.S. District Court in Coeur d'Alene on Tuesday, which resulted in a press release from the U.S. Attorney's Office and a news story that published on Wednesday. Brent Mark Stevens was unaware he had something of a doppelganger until news of Brent Anthony Stevens' guilty plea broke. "I've never come across another Brent Stevens," said Brent Mark Stevens. Although their ages are comparable and they have the same first name and surname, the similarities between the two Stevenses end there/Keith Kinnaird, Hagadone News Network. More here.

Question: Do you have the same name as someone else in town? Has it ever caused problems?
