HBO Blogos: Circle Of Life

Circle of life: A kestrel hawk killed one of the pair of ring-necked doves who spend time in the tree outside the kitchen window at Kerri Thoreson's home. Writes Kerri: "I'm heartbroken for the surviving dove. The hawk is not wasteful, he's cleaned the carcass down to the feathers and was absolutely unconcerned when I opened the sliding door and stood there watching him feed just ten feet away. FYI we live right in town."
