Southern Mayor Keynotes Event

Mayor Doug Echols of Rock Hill, S.C., gave the keynote address at the 18th annual Kootenai County Task Force on Human Relations banquet Monday night. Echols told the story of his city's civil rights journey and a group of men who made a difference. Journalists Bill Morlin and Sholeh Patrick were honored with awards at the banquet.

Rusche: I Tried My Best 

House Minority Leader John Rusche comments on Huckleberries: " I couldn't get any of the votes on the prevailing side to reconsider. Speaker Bedke refused to hold a Ways and Means meeting for a new bill. I tried to call it out from committee but the GOP House leadership locked their side down by calling it a "procedural vote"
