KVNI: 1st Xmas music, then 80s music

Kootenai FM is a new radio station focused on North Idaho information, music and ads. The KXLY Radio Group has transferred its 92.5 FM translator into the separate station called 92.5 Kootenai FM. The station had been a translator of 92.9 KZZU and also is broadcast on 1080 AM. It hit the airwaves Nov. 17 with a format of holiday music and will switch to Top 40 and ’80s hit music later. It also will air high school and University of Idaho sports. It also will live-stream online at www.kootenaifm.com. The KXLY Broadcast Group location in North Idaho is at 504 E. Sherman Ave., open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. Phone 664-9271/Nils Rosdahl, Business Bits, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

Question: I wonder if the changes mean that Seattle Marines baseball broadcasts are out, too? KVNI will lose this listener completely if that's so. Thoughts?
