Responsible CDA fails to file report

A political action committee that supported two losing candidates in last month's Coeur d'Alene city elections has missed a deadline for filing a campaign finance disclosure report. That PAC, called Responsible CDA, could soon face fines of $50 per day until the 30-Day Post-General Election report is filed with the city. It was due Thursday, Dec. 3. Coeur d'Alene City Clerk Renata McLeod said Monday that a fine can be assessed if the report isn't received within five days of receiving written notice of the filing requirement. She mailed that notice Friday. She said she reached out to Responsible CDA committee chairman Douglas J. Balija on Friday, using a phone number the committee provided. "I tried the phone number last week and it was disconnected," McLeod said/David Cole, Coeur d'Alene Press. More here.

DFO: So Responsible CDA PAC continues to act irresponsibly. Why am I not surprised?
